Oncology (Cancer Care) Services

Please note:  While I am oncology trained and certified, if you are currently receiving chemotherapy, I do require a note from your oncologist to confirm that it is safe for you to receive a service. In most instances, this service is strictly to provide hydration to the skin and soothe irritations. These treatments will not manipulate the cuticles or use scrubs in any way. LED Light Therapy is also beneficial in healing many issues with the skin. Please confirm with your oncologist when it’s safe for you to use.

I will go through an in-depth intake to determine your diagnosis, treatment and recovery and where you currently are in your cancer journey. All steps within each treatment will be adjusted as necessary to what you feel comfortable with and what I can safely provide to you.

I focus on using products that are as natural and safe as possible, unscented, organic, vegan, cruelty free and leaping bunny certified. I have polishes that are 13 free, vegan, gluten free and cruelty free. Almost every item used during your service is either disposable or can be disinfected and UV sterilized after being thoroughly cleansed with hot water and antibacterial soap. You will have your own new files and if you wish to have your own new implements, let me know in advance of your appointment so I can purchase same for you at no cost to you.

If you are in recovery and/or remission, choose from these treatments:

Soothing Manicure - $26.00 – A much needed clean-up and hydration session for your hands, cuticles and nails. Includes your basic manicure steps consisting of a gentle unscented hand washing, unscented lotion, nail shaping, gentle cuticle care, massage of the hands and lower arms (if no lymphedema is present) and a warm towel wrap. You may choose polish, a high shine buff or left bare.

Soothing Pedicure - $50.00 – A much needed clean-up and hydration session for the feet, cuticles, dry rough heels and lower legs. Includes your basic pedicure steps consisting of a warm water and oil soak, nail shaping, gentle cuticle care, callus smoothing with a foot file and/or a scrub, massage of the feet and lower legs (if lymphedema is not present) and a warm towel wrap. You may choose polish, a high shine buff or left bare.

Gentle Facial - $75.00 (30 minutes). $120.00 (60 minutes) – A much needed boost to the skin to calm irritation, hydrate dry, parched areas and of course help you relax and feel pampered. All steps within this treatment will be personalized to suit what you feel comfortable with and what your skin can currently tolerate. Be sure to advise of any ports, lymph node removal, scars, etc., that may interfere with any steps in the facial. I will go over everything with you during your consultation to confirm what you can safely receive.

Oncology patient skin care

If you are in active Chemotherapy and/or radiation, choose from these treatments:

Hydrating Manicure - $18.00 - if your nails are strong enough, I will re-shape them, apply cuticle oil and an unscented lotion or an aloe-based moisturizer/mask. I will either wrap your hands in a warm or cool towel to infuse the lotion/mask into the skin.

Hydrating Pedicure - $25.00 - I will gently cleanse the feet, trim and shape the nails and apply an unscented Shea butter lotion or an aloe-based mask/moisturizer all over the feet and lower legs. I will either wrap your feet in a warm or cool towel to infuse the lotion/mask into the skin.

Hydrating Facial - $75.00 – I’ll focus on re-balancing the skin to bring back it’s moisture with an aloe-based moisturizer/mask and a light massage for it to penetrate. A hydrating eye and face cream, SPF and a lip serum will have your skin feeling better.

The aloe-based product is through my skin care brand, Hale & Hush and is available for purchase along with its accompanying product, Relief Bio Powder which helps in reducing the appearance of redness and is great when mixed with the mask. For most people, these products have healed the skin of rashes, contact dermatitis and even hand eczema.
