Help your teen learn how to take care of their skin with a proper analysis of their skin type, current condition and what products will help them target their issues.

Focusing on teens from 12 to 16 years of age, I’ll analyze their skin and then teach them what products they should be using, how to use them and what fun tools they can use in the process. Learning how to properly care for their young skin is so important. As they age, it will show signs of how they treated it years before. Varied ingredients, harsh exfoliation and mixing brands is so detrimental to the skin as most have perfumes, dyes and preservatives that are not accepted by the skin. This is how abnormalities, such as redness, breakouts, oiliness and even dryness appear on the skin. Providing the skin with a simple routine and protecting it with SPF daily is the best defense to have beautiful skin as they age.

A teen facial is completely different than an adult facial. During a teen facial, I will explain every step and how they will incorporate this step into their new routine. Your teen will remain fully clothed except for wearing or changing into a tank top to ensure no products get onto their clothing. They will experience a consultation under a magnifying lamp as well as a Woods lamp, which is an additional light that can confirm or show more of what I can see and feel. I’ll take before and after pictures for their file so that we can watch their progress throughout the program. They will then experience cleansing, gentle exfoliation, if appropriate, a mask, a fun roller or crystal mushroom, moisturizer and SPF.
