A little back story first…..

I have two main skincare lines I work with, Hale and Hush and Osmosis. I have been using Hale and Hush for the past 5 years and Osmosis for the last year. Hale and Hush has fondly referred to us estheticians as Hushies. Last year the owner decided to name an esthetician of the year, referred to as the Hushie of the Year. While I didn't know I was even in the running for this title, I was mentioned in the live reveal after a fellow esthetician was named, with the head educator saying “Now Teena, I know you’re crying right now, but don’t worry Teena, there will be another year”.  Even though I didn’t know what that meant at the time…..

On to the reveal now….

Then on December 1, 2025, I received a surprise phone call from the owner of Hale and Hush informing me that I was chosen to be the 2026 Hushie of the Year!

While I sat there in complete shock, the owner explained why I was chosen; for my dedication to promoting the Hale and Hush brand through retail and using in backbar, attending classes and webinars monthly and being a contributor in our Facebook group and in other groups supporting the brand.  She took into account these factors and determined that I was next to be chosen for this title.  I will continue my representation of Hale and Hush as their 2026 Hushie of the Year and promoting their values of caring for sensitive and sensitized skin and how it can be nourished and healed using Hale and Hush. 

As an esthetician, this is rewarding and humbling at the same time. It acknowledges the hard work I put in over the past five years into continuing and advanced education and promoting the brand within my spa and online.  I have spent these years posting about sensitive skin and how it can be cared for and nourished in a gentle way. This is what my business is all about, taking a gentle approach to every service I provide for nails, skin and body care.   To be honored in this way for doing what I love is so rewarding.  Hale & Hush will always be my first and main skin care brand for what it represents and that it truly is good for all skin types and conditions.
