I have taken many classes with Dr. Johnson over the years focusing on pigmentation, retinol usage for pigmentation, DNA and aging as well as age management. His approach is what I have been talking about and focusing on for some time now. Treatments at The Ruby Lily Spa using Osmosis
Fine Lines and Wrinkles – Aging skin results from the progressive decline in the skin’s ability to repair damage due to the reducing levels of nutrition and cells your skin relies on. Activating DNA repair, increasing circulation and nutrition and stimulating collagen and elastin production is needed to diminish fine lines and wrinkles.
Redness and Irritation - Sensitive skin and rosacea consist of red or reactive areas that result from immune weakness which are typically caused by digestive inflammation. Targeting the source of the inflammation, strengthening the skins barrier and calming the skin are key components in relieving discomfort and achieving an overall calmness to the skin.
Pigmentation - Age spots and hyperpigmentation are a protective response from skin inflammation caused by the sun, hormones or toxins. Healing the underlying skin, repairing DNA and minimizing pigmentation with daily use of SPF 365 days a year, will over time, lessen the appearance of pigmentation and lightening and brightening will occur.
Oncology Care – Restoring the health of skin compromised by radiation, chemotherapy and stressed immune systems. A gentle approach to nurture the skin and provide as much comfort as possible for it to thrive during this challenging time.
Nail Care Treatments
Replenish Hand Facial - $50.00. When you are experiencing dry knuckles, redness, itching and overall dryness, this 10-step treatment will begin the process of barrier repair and provide a protective shield on the skin overnight to allow the healing to begin. The results will last for days with proper home care protection.
Renewing Hand Facial - $55.00. When visible pigmentation on the back of the hands is present and even if it hasn’t surfaced yet, stimulating collagen production, cell renewal and repairing DNA will begin the process of minimizing pigmentation.
Skin Care Treatments
Consultation – $80.00 – with a mini facial - $130.00. An in-depth look at your skin through the skin mapping system. I will review all of your current product usage, if any, correlate current issues you are experiencing using skin mapping and devising a plan to address correction of your current issues. This consultation is through a lengthy intake form as well as a hands-on visual of the skin under magnification and with a Woods Lamp which is a harmless UV generated black light. This light can show additional skin issues that are undetectable under magnification and to the naked eye. After your consultation, if you are interested in moving forward, I will perform a mini facial consisting of cleansing, exfoliation if appropriate, a mask and finishing products. I will monitor every step of this facial to make sure you are not experiencing a reaction to any of the products. Keep in mind that while these products are oncology safe, thry can still cause a reaction in the skin when the skin is not accustomed to using a doctor formulated/clinical line. These products are more potent than anything else on the market and therefore reactions can occur. Please do not let that deter you. I am trained in how to calm a reaction or a mild irritation to the skin.
Progressive Facial (fine lines and wrinkles) - $155.00. Prolonged sun exposure is the main culprit in the formation of fine lines and wrinkles, especially every day you don’t apply SPF, even when you are not going outside. Feeding the skin with specific ingredients that can stimulate the production of collagen and elastin will over time reduce their appearance. Far infrared LED is capable of reaching the dermal layers of the skin where collagen and elastin is formed. Combining both of these steps will assist the skin in forming more collagen and elastin and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Daily SPF30, 365 days a year is imperative to avoid further pigmentation as well as a proper home care system to keep the skin nourished and balanced.
Healing Facial (sensitive, sensitized and rosacea) - $135.00. If you are experiencing sensitivities, redness, flaking, dryness and/or have been diagnosed with rosacea, we will work to heal and protect the barrier so that the skin can accept active ingredients for protection and further healing.
Brightening Facial (pigmentation) - $150.00. If you are experiencing pigmentation (dark spots), we have to determine what they are caused from. We then need to slowly slough off the old cells/skin while protecting it so as to not produce more pigmentation. This is a slow process, however with proper targeted treatments and proper home care, along with daily SPF, we can absolutely see a reduction with more brightness to the skin, quicker than you realize.
Soothing Facial (oncology) - $125.00. Nurturing the skin and restoring skin health is the goal for this facial. Chemotherapy and radiation destroy cancer cells but also destroy healthy cells. Focusing on soothing and feeding the skin with healthy nutrients, we can maintain homeostasis with repeated treatments and home care.
Body Care Treatments
Rescue Back Treatment - $135.00. No matter the abnormality with the skin on your back, this treatment will address it and repair it. With specific combinations of ingredients, dryness, flakiness, redness, itching, irritation and dullness will be diminished and the skin will begin its healing process.
